CAMEE Sponsored Activities Planned for ASHRAE Meeting in June
CAMEE is planning several events in conjunction with the ASHRAE Meeting next June in Salt Lake City, Utah, based upon their memorandum of understanding.
The ACEC/CAMEE will conduct an educational course on BIM for MEPs for June 20, 2008, in Salt Lake City, the day before the June 21-25, 2008 ASHRAE Summer Meeting. The one-day educational course would present industry innovators who are pioneering BIM project planning and integrated project delivery in the marketplace. The course will examine the concept of BIM and demonstrate how it is being put into practice by the collaborative professional teams. Discussion will cover state-of-the-art BIM software levels and features, useful contract models, benefits, and more.
In addition, CAMEE has two sessions on ASHRAE Technical Program for Salt Lake City. The first will be an ASHRAE Forum to discuss business and risk management issues facing MEP’s (a continuation of the CAMEE Maui roundtable described earlier), and the other session will be an ASHRAE Seminar entitled: Do M/E’s Need to Worry About Risk Management.

CAMEE Shines During ACEC Fall Conference in Maui
In conjunction with the ACEC fall conference late last September in Maui, CAMEE conducted an industry roundtable to identify and discuss issues facing mechanical and electrical engineers. Click here for a brief summary of the top issues identified and discussed during the roundtable.
In addition, at the Maui conference CAMEE signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Association of State Facilities Administrators (NAFSA) to allow both organizations to address issues of mutual interest. During the ACEC awards ceremonies, CAMEE Chairman Roy Wilson presented Past CAMEE Chairman Dale Jacobs with a special award honoring him as CAMEE’s “Founding Father.”
