Government Advocacy

The Government Advocacy committee provides advocacy direction and guidance for the development of the governmental affairs programs of the Council; provides oversight of all governmental affairs committees to maximize effective efforts and to ensure consistency of positions.

ACEC's Political Action Committee (PAC) Champions, under the rules of the Federal Election Commission (FEC), oversee the recruitment of ACEC/PAC supporters in their state Member Organizations to support federal Congressional candidates.

Environment and Energy

The purpose of the Environment & Energy Committee is to develop industry-wide consensus positions and national leadership on a wide range of issues important to environmental engineering firms; undertake a proactive legislative and regulatory advocacy program; develop public and private market programs of interest to the membership; and communicate with the ACEC membership on vital environmental and energy issues that will affect their businesses.

Federal Agencies and Procurement Advocacy

The purpose of the Committee is to undertake advocacy efforts with Congress and federal agencies to promote the interests of ACEC members engaged in contracting with the federal government.

International

The purpose of the Committee is to promote ACEC's international interests and to ensure that each committee and department of ACEC implements international programs as may be appropriate.


Risk Management

The purpose of the Risk Management Committee is to assist member companies and others in understanding and managing risk and, on their behalf, to advocate changes in legislation and regulation to properly control or allocate risk.

Tax & Regulatory Affairs

The purpose of the Committee is to undertake a proactive legislative and regulatory advocacy program in the areas of tax, finance, employment policy, and other regulatory areas on behalf of ACEC member firms.

Transportation

The Transportation Committee monitors legislation and regulation on transportation infrastructure issues, including highways, railroads, aviation, and mass transit; and develops and recommends Council positions and legislation/regulation for promotion before Congress, the Executive and State agencies.
