About ACEC/PAC

The American Council of Engineering Companies Political Action Committee (ACEC/PAC) was established in 1975 to allow ACEC members the opportunity to support and keep federal candidates in office who support a pro-business legislative agenda. ACEC/PAC is bipartisan and operates out in the open in full compliance with the Federal Election Campaign Act and applicable state laws. Each state is represented by a PAC Champion to help meet its state's annual PAC goal.

ACEC/PAC Champions
2009-2010 ACEC/PAC Chairman Tom Ahneman-CT and Vice Chairman Harvey Floyd-MD

ACEC's Political Action Committee (PAC) Champions, under the rules of the Federal Election Commission (FEC), oversee the recruitment of ACEC/PAC supporters in their state Member Organizations to support federal Congressional candidates. The PAC Champions are selected for three-year terms with one serving as chairman. Champions approve the criteria for fund allocation and overall fundraising programs to meet their state's annual fundraising PAC goal. ACEC/PAC works in conjunction with ACEC's legislative program to elect and keep pro-business members of Congress in office that support the interests of the engineering industry and create an improved business environment for ACEC members. If your state Champions has changed from this roster, please email Greg Knopp at gknopp@acec.org and Elizabeth Coit at ecoit@acec.org.

ACEC/PAC Sponsorship Opportunities

Sponsors receive recognition throughout the Fall Conference, including the in final program and on convention signage, and in other ACEC media, including Last Word, Engineering, Inc, and the ACEC website. We offer several sponsorship levels and are willing to work with you to design a sponsorship package that best fits your needs.
