About ACEC/PAC

The American Council of Engineering Companies Political Action Committee (ACEC/PAC) was established in 1975 to allow ACEC members the opportunity to support and keep federal candidates in office who support a pro-business legislative agenda. ACEC/PAC is bipartisan and operates out in the open in full compliance with the Federal Election Campaign Act and applicable state laws. Each state is represented by a PAC Trustee to help meet its state's annual PAC goal.

ACEC/PAC Donor Clubs

The Capitol Club
The Capitol Club serves those members who wish to donate the maximum contribution allowable by law to ACEC/PAC each year ($5,000). By their commitment to the industry, Capitol Club members are at the leading cutting edge of ACEC's political clout. Capitol Club members receive complimentary access to all ACEC/PAC events throughout the year, and many other benefits. Click here to see the members of the ACEC/PAC Capitol Club.

The Chairman's Club
The Chairman's Club mobilizes ACEC's most politically active PAC contributors. Chairman's Club members agree to pledge a minimum $2,500 per year to support key House and Senate members, with $1,000 of their commitment going directly to ACEC/PAC and the remaining funds held "on call" to be used for direct giving to candidates at ACEC/PAC-sponsored events. By harnessing and focusing the large amount of direct giving of politically active ACEC members, the Chairman's Club provides a substantial new layer of financial resources to support federal candidates. The Millennium Club
TThe Millennium Club is ACEC/PAC's $1,000 per year donor club. Millennium Club members are the backbone to the PAC's strength and growth for the engineering industry. Club members receive complimentary invitations to events with congressional leaders scheduled in conjunction with the Legislative Summit during the spring Annual Convention and other ACEC-sponsored events. ACEC/PAC Champions

2008 ACEC/PAC Co-Chairs Tom Ahneman-CT and Jerry Stump-TN

ACEC's Political Action Committee (PAC) Champions, under the rules of the Federal Election Commission (FEC), oversee the recruitment of ACEC/PAC supporters in their state Member Organizations to support federal Congressional candidates. The PAC Champions are selected for three-year terms with one serving as chairman. Champions approve the criteria for fund allocation and overall fundraising programs to meet their state's annual fundraising PAC goal. ACEC/PAC works in conjunction with ACEC's legislative program to elect and keep pro-business members of Congress in office that support the interests of the engineering industry and create an improved business environment for ACEC members.

If your state Champions has changed from this roster, please email Greg Knopp at gknopp@acec.org and Elizabeth Coit at ecoit@acec.org.
