Proposed SBA Size Standard Rule
What you need to know
The Small Business Administration is proposing to increase the small business size standard for engineering firms from $4.5 to $19 million in average annual gross revenue. The change will impact ACEC Members across the board. For more information on ACEC activities on this issue click here. On April 20, 2011 ACEC submitted a letter to SBA requesting an extension on the deadline for commentary on this rule, currently due May 16, 2011, until September 30, 2011 because of the wide-ranging impacts on ACEC’s membership. To read this letter click here.
On May 5, 2011 ACEC testified before the House Committee on Small Business on the issue of size standards.
