New Audit, Compensation Rules For State DOTs To Be Previewed At Fall Conference

  • Updated compensation and audit guidelines for use by state DOTs will be previewed at the upcoming ACEC Fall Conference, October 7-10, in Palm Springs, Calif.

  • The new rules are included in the latest version of AASHTO's Uniform Audit and Accounting Guide, which was developed after many months of extensive collaboration with ACEC and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).

  • Attendees will be briefed on the new rules at a workshop featuring state DOT and FHWA officials and industry representatives. The workshop will review specifics of the new guide, including critical changes in compensation and minimum audit requirements. Presenters will also discuss how the guide alters the landscape for every firm with DOT clients and when you can expect your DOT to implement the new procedures.

  • The workshop will also feature a special segment on Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) compliance — helping every member understand the critical elements of the FAR Cost Principles that govern their work with state transportation agencies.
This is the first major unveiling and explanation of the new guidelines and a MUST ATTEND event for firms that contract with state DOTs.
