Travel Information
Getting to Puerto Rico
For U.S. citizens only, a passport is not required to travel to Puerto Rico. For more information, please visit the U.S Department of State Travel Website. Many of the world's largest airlines and several smaller charter services provide service to Puerto Rico. These include Air Canada, Air Sunshine, Air Tran, American Airlines, American Eagle, Cape Air, Continental, Copa, Delta Air Lines, Iberia, JetBlue Airways, LIAT, Northwest Airlines, PAWA Dominicana, San Juan Aviation, Seaborne Airlines, Spirit Airlines, United Airlines and US Airways.
Customs/Passport Requirements
No Passport? No Problem!
Puerto Rico is a commonwealth of the United States, and U.S. citizens do not need passports. A valid U.S. driver's license is all that is required for U.S. citizens to travel to and from the island from the mainland. However, visitors of other nationalities must have passports. When leaving Puerto Rico to return to the U.S. mainland, checked luggage will be examined for agricultural purposes.
Finding your way to paradise has never been easier. Thanks to recent changes in State Department regulations, U.S. citizens no longer need a passport when traveling to and from Puerto Rico, allowing you to avoid the hassle of customs and immigration. Numerous airlines fly to Puerto Rico from cities across the United States, making our tropical island as accessible as any continental American destination. For added convenience, El Conquistador Resort & Golden Door Spa also provides daily airport transfers, providing an economical option for guests flying in or out of San Juan.
