| Description: |
With the accelerating growth of interest in green building design comes the potential for increased risk and liability for design professionals. To assist in managing those risks, in-depth, documented discussions at the beginning of the project regarding the expectations of the owner and about actual costs that will be incurred, are critical. Clear understanding of the benefits that can be potentially. realized as well as the risks inherent in using new or untested products and technologies will lessen the design professional's exposure to potential litigation.
This timely online seminar offers a clear-eyed look at topics unique to green building design including LEED certification requirements and related increase in needed site observation visits; realistic understanding of design and construction costs and projected savings timetables; evaluation and suitability testing of new materials and new materials applications, and more.
