Description: In 2012 two fee disclosure rules went into effect designed to improve plan sponsors's understanding of what they pay for plan services, and also to help participants make informed decisions when selecting investments in their retirement plan accounts. Both of these rules place new responsibilities on plan sponsor fiduciaries so there are risks if the rules are not understood and proper actions are not taken. This presentation will cover:

  • An overview of the new disclosure requirements
  • Plan Sponsor responsibilities
  • What to expect from plan service providers
  • Risk of non-compliance and ways to reduce risk

This presentation is intended for employers who offer 401(k) or 403(b) plans to their employees and who are concerned with understanding their responsibilities and managing the risk associated with the new fee disclosure rules.
