SUNDAY, APRIL 10

HIGH TEA AND SHOPPING
1:30 pm–5 pm

    Enjoy a classic English High Tea at the Four Seasons Hotel in Georgetown. If shopping is your passion, enjoy the fashionable stores of Washington's Historic Georgetown District—located just outside the doors to this world-class hotel.

    A private dining room at the Four Seasons Hotel will help you relax while you enjoy a traditional tea service. Served on Royal Doulton Marigold china with porcelain china tea pots, you will enjoy a variety of teas and delight in tea sandwiches and delicious desserts.

    After tea, you'll be ready for some power shopping! Among the many upscale shops in Georgetown, you will find boutiques, antique stores and haberdasheries that will dazzle. Georgetown Park Mall, located just four blocks from the Four Seasons Hotel is packed with some great fashion finds spread out over multiple levels complete with towering skylights and palm trees. Comfortable shoes are a must!

MONDAY, APRIL 11

FIRST LADIES TOUR
2:30 PM–5 PM

    This tour will begin at the First Ladies Exhibit at the Smithsonian's American History Museum on the National Mall where you will experience the ever-changing role of America's First Ladies. After the tour, you will enjoy a driving tour of the area around the White House and Lafayette Square Park, at which time your Tour Guide will discuss the inspiring stories of several first ladies including, Eleanor Roosevelt, Jackie Kennedy, Dolley Madison and the legacies these dynamic women brought to the White House and several neighborhoods in Washington, D.C.

    Cost: $45 per person


ENGINEERING EXCELLENCE AWARDS GALA
6 pm–7 pm Reception
7 pm–10 pm     Dinner and Awards Program
This event brings together business leaders, members of Congress, Cabinet members and the media to celebrate outstanding engineering achievements by ACEC member firms during the past year. This year, ACEC is pleased to have six-time Emmy award winning comedian and writer, Ross Shafer as Master of Ceremonies. The black-tie affair, will take place at the spectacular Grand Hyatt Hotel.

Cost: $245 per person or Table of 10: $2,300

TUESDAY, APRIL 12

SPOUSE/GUEST BREAKFASTUpdated!

    Join registered spouses/guests for breakfast and hear a special presentation by famous Washingtonian jewelry designer, Ann Hand. Pamela Harriman took her oath of office as Ambassador to France with one of Ann's gold and pearl Liberty Eagle pins perched on her shoulder. Hillary Clinton sported her Eagle when she appeared on NBC's "Today Show", then wore it to meet Mother Teresa in India. First Ladies Lady Bird Johnson, Nancy Reagan, and Barbara Bush wear their Liberty Eagles as did Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, and Cabinet Secretary Donna Shalala appeared in a "Got Milk" ad with the ever-present Liberty Eagle on her lapel. Hear how Mrs. Hand got started in the jewelry business and as a special treat, view some of her favorite and unique pieces! Complimentary for registered spouses and guests.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 13

HILLWOOD MUSEUM AND GARDEN TOUR
1:30 pm–5 pm

    Join us for a leisurely afternoon with a private guided tour and refreshments at one of the area's most beautiful estates, Hillwood Museum and Gardens.

    The beautiful Hillwood Museum houses magnificent French and Russian collections which include decorative arts, Fabergé, metalwork, ceramics, glass, paintings, furniture and textiles. The gardens offer a lush and varied landscape and include the French Parterre, Rose Garden, Lunar Lawn, Japanese-Style Garden, Greenhouses, and the Cutting Garden.

    We will begin the afternoon with introductory film about Hillwood and have a private guided tour of the estate and two of the beautiful gardens. After the tour, guests will gather in the café for casual refreshments including time to explore on your own before boarding the bus for the hotel. Hillwood has a wonderful Museum Shop, which features books, jewelry, stationery and other gifts related to the art collections and gardens. Please sign up early, this tour is limited to the first 45 guests
