Joseph Flaxbeard, Senior Project Engineer
Lamp, Rynearson & Associates, Omaha, NE

Joseph Flaxbeard handles projects including the Omaha Combined Sewer Overflow program and the Gene Leahy Mall renovation, rising as a leader because of his positive influence and teamwork. A co-chair of Lamp, Rynearson’s Community Involvement Committee, Flaxbeard drives the company’s good works. He is also heavily engaged in the emerging leaders’ development program, strategic planning for recruitment and retention, and youth outreach.




Timothy Lum Yee, Project Engineer
HDR Engineering, Honolulu, HI

Timothy Lum Yee is a project engineer currently managing multimillion dollar gravity sewer main inspection contracts to assess and repair, as recommended, approximately 650 miles of elevated high risk sewer pipe within the island of Oahu. Outside of work, Timothy volunteers his time to advance the profession and educate the public, serving in several leadership positions with engineering organizations and participating in community service and outreach events.




Claudia Correa, Project Engineer
Langan Engineering & Environmental Services, Elmwood Park, NJ

Claudia Correa is a project engineer and a dual citizen of the U.S. and Columbia whose projects span the globe – from a new resort development in Nicaragua to the Fontainebleau Casino in Las Vegas to infrastructure projects at Montclair State University in New Jersey. Most recently, Claudia supported the engineering of the Santa Maria Golf and Country Club in Panama City, Panama, where she was responsible for the grading design, earthwork calculations and assisting with offsite highway improvement and utility design utility.




Dan Phipps, Senior Engineer
Kennedy/Jenks Consultants, Lakewood, CO

Dan Phipps is a senior staff engineer whose AutoCAD Civil 3D expertise is known company-wide and who is often sought after to contribute his skills on high profile projects. He has volunteered with Partners in Health in Haiti, visiting the country to perform survey and engineering work for various construction projects such as orphanages and hospitals. Dan is also the founder of a charity called Project Zoranger which is working to build a well to provide water to the town of Zoranger, Haiti and is currently vetting drillers to provide installation.




Christian Roche, Project Engineer
Langan Engineering and Environmental Services, Lawrenceville, NJ

As a project engineer Christian Roche has amassed a portfolio of clients during his time at Langan which includes major developers, medical facilities, utility authorities, and municipal, state, and federal agencies. He was one of three people to relocate and jumpstart Langan’s Washington, D.C. office, where he worked on three different continents for the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Overseas Building Operations.
