For many engineering firms, 2018 was a year of continued prosperity and opportunity. The economy is on pace for its fastest annual growth in more than a decade. Unemployment remains low and wages are rising. Yet, we’re increasingly seeing signs of uncertainty creep into the economy, the markets, and our industry.

All of which leads us to ask: Are we nearing the top of the cycle or do we have a bit more runway left in this expansion before we begin to see a slowdown? And what does it all mean for my firm?

Join Greg Powell for a timely discussion of the state of our economy, the outlook for the A/E/C market, and the key factors that may heavily influence your company as we head into 2019 and beyond.

  • Take a closer look at prevailing economic and market dynamics to better understand where we are in the current economic cycle
  • Address A/E/C market sector-by-sector investment trends at both the national and regional levels
  • Understand market sentiment from a variety of stakeholders, including economists, project owners, and A/E leaders
  • Examine current M&A trends in the industry and how to deal with volume projects into the new year
  • Touch on some strategies your peers in the market are pursuing to strengthen and diversify their capabilities to best withstand and even thrive during the next downturn
