Everyone has their own reasons for becoming an engineer, but very rarely do engineers set out early in their careers to become a project manager. In fact, many project managers are born from pure necessity, but that doesn't mean they can't excel in their new role.

Join Howard Birnberg to take a closer look at the responsibilities and challenges of becoming an engineering firm project manager, and what it takes to succeed in the role. During this 90-minute session, you'll explore key responsibilities, including:

  • Marketing and continued contact with clients
  • Proposal preparation and fee determination and negotiation
  • Staff planning and assembly of the project team
  • Managing all phases of the project
  • Quality management
  • Team relations
  • Project status reporting
  • Billing and collection
