At this stage in the economic cycle, market watchers keep looking for signs of impending doom. Yet, this prolonged economic recovery continues to defy expectations. The engineering market remains surprisingly steady. Company backlogs are largely intact. Key market sectors have neutral or better outlooks. The Fed is indicating that the market is on comfortable footing and does not warrant further intervention at this time.

However, stock markets continue to experience intermittent volatility. The trade war between the U.S. and China persists with negative impacts on global markets. And we are, of course, very long in this economic cycle.

So, what comes next?

Join Greg Powell to discuss the state of our economy, the outlook for the A/E/C market, and the key factors that may heavily influence your company as we head into the second half of 2019 and beyond. In this presentation, you'll:

  • Take a closer look at economic and geopolitical trends and how they are impacting the U.S. market
  • Get an update on the A/E/C market by diving into sector-by-sector growth trends at both the national and regional levels
  • Understand market sentiment from a variety of stakeholders, including economists, project owners, and A/E leaders
  • Discuss mergers & acquisitions in the engineering market and highlight some key industry dynamics that are driving transaction activity
