Fueled by a strengthening national economy and design climate as well as pent-up demand for industry ownership transition, engineering M&A activity has been off to a significant start this year. Buyers remain confident and wish to aggressively expand their geographic and client presence through deal making, while sellers are able to showcase improved financial performance and strong backlogs.

But as we enter a mature industry and M&A cycle, what can we expect and how should firm leaders prepare?

Join Steve Gido to assess the current M&A environment, highlight recent notable transactions, examine typical deal structures and scenarios, discuss valuation trends, and look at what’s driving buyers and sellers today.

TAKEAWAYS:

  • The current state of the M&A industry for engineering firms – players, motivations, and risks
  • The process of putting a transaction together from courtship to closing
  • What comprises a standard M&A offer and structure
  • Why integration is everything

This on-demand online class lasts 60 minutes and is worth 1.0 PDH (Professional Development Hour).
