Welcome to the resource page for ACEC’s “Citizen Lobbyists” participating in visits to Capitol Hill as part of ACEC’s 2023 Annual Convention and Legislative Summit. Hill visits during the Annual Convention continue to be an essential part of ACEC’s advocacy strategy, allowing firm executives to brief lawmakers and staff on key priorities and how they impact the firm and the state and local economy.
Our lobbying effort will focus on several key issues, including R&D amortization, implementation of the bipartisan infrastructure law, ongoing workforce challenges, and permitting of infrastructure projects. Fact sheets on each of these issues will be posted to this page and provided on site.
Please contact the Executive Director of your state Member Organization (M.O.), who will be scheduling meetings with your state’s Members of Congress on Tuesday, June 13th and Wednesday, June 14th. For members scheduling their own meetings, a sample meeting request can be accessed here, and contact information for your House and Senate offices can be accessed here. You should direct your request to the chief of staff and the scheduler.
Capitol Hill has reopened to the public and we anticipate that most offices will be available for in-person meetings. Both the House and Senate will be in session the week of the ACEC Annual Convention.
There will be a Congressional Issues Briefing during the convention on Monday, June 12 at 4:30 p.m. In addition, all convention attendees are welcome to join a complimentary webinar on Monday, May 22nd at 1:30 pm ET to preview the key issues we’re planning to take to lawmakers. Click here to register.
You can use our ACEC online congressional directory to find office locations and key staff information for all Members of Congress.
