Senate Appropriations Subcommittee Approves Transportation Spending Bill for Fiscal Year 2020
The Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Transportation, Housing & Urban Development approved an annual funding bill that increases investment levels for most federal transportation infrastructure programs for the coming fiscal year.
The bill fulfills FAST Act funding levels for highway programs at $46.4 billion from the Highway Trust Fund and adds an additional $2.7 billion from the General Fund for surface transportation block grants, railway-highway crossing safety improvement, and bridge repairs.

USDOT to Provide $871 Million for Emergency Road, Bridge Repairs
The U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) will provide $871.2 million in Emergency Relief (ER) funds for disaster-stricken bridges and roads in 39 states, territories and tribal governments through the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).
