Three Members Receive 2020 ACEC Community Service Awards

Each year, ACEC recognizes principals or managers of ACEC Member Firm who have made outstanding contributions to the quality of life in their community. In 2020, ACEC Community Service Awards go to three exceptional members: Janice Gary, vice president of A. Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc. in Rockville, Md.; Karen Kahl, Director, Transportation of RK&K in Baltimore, Md.; James Kleingers, President/CEO of The Kleingers Group in West Chester, Ohio.

Congress Poised to Extend Federal Transportation Programs

Legislation introduced today by congressional leaders would extend surface transportation programs under the FAST Act for one year.  In the absence of a multi-year reauthorization, ACEC and other industry stakeholders have lobbied lawmakers in support of a one-year extension to provide funding stability to clients before the current programs expire on September 30.
