2023-2025 ACEC National Officer-Nominees Announced

The ACEC Nominating Committee has nominated a slate of National Officers for 2023-2025.  Ballots for the election of Officers are being emailed to the National Directors shortly, and voting will be open from today to 5:00 pm Eastern on Friday, December 2, 2022.  Once elected, the following National Officers will join the ACEC Executive Committee starting in 2023 at the Spring Convention and Legislative Summit.

ACEC Comments on Proposed Project Labor Agreements for Federal Construction Projects

The FAR Council published a proposed rule implementing Executive Order 14063, which requires Project Labor Agreements (PLAs) on federal construction contracts exceeding $35 million. Executive Order 14063 applies to direct federal construction contractors, not Federal-Aid (e.g. federal-aid transportation) contractors. This policy could drive up the costs of projects by the Corps of Engineers, NAVFAC, GSA and others and discourage firms from pursuing federal contracting opportunities.

The WEX Center promotes fundamental and applied research at the water-energy nexus in partnership with industry. Its research focuses on all dimensions of power/energy use and efficiency in the water processing sector, including extraction, treatment, conveyance, reclamation, and reuse.
