The Department of Labor (DOL) has finalized a new overtime pay rule under the Fair Labor Standards Act.  The agency periodically updates the salary threshold below which employees who work more than 40 hours in a week must be paid time and a half overtime.

Secretary Chao Announces Nearly $1 Billion in Airport Infrastructure Grants

WASHINGTON – U.S. Transportation Secretary Elaine L. Chao today announced that the Department will award $986 million in airport infrastructure grants to 354 airports in 44 states and Puerto Rico and Micronesia. This is the fifth allotment of the total $3.18 billion in Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airport Improvement Program (AIP) funding for airports across the United States.

Robert Costa, the noted national political reporter for The Washington Post, will provide his unique perspectives for 2019 ACEC Fall Conference attendees on the nation’s politics today all the way through to the 2020 elections.

The Fall Conference will be held October 13-16 at the Sheraton Grand Chicago.

Costa, who covers the White House, Congress, and national campaigns, also the moderator of Washington Week, an award-winning reporter’s roundtable series on PBS, and is a political analyst for NBC News and MSNBC.
