Lodging Market Continues Strong Performance
At the end of the first quarter of 2019, the U.S. construction pipeline in the lodging market sector included 5,647 projects totaling 687,941 rooms, up 7 percent by projects and 8 percent by rooms year-over-year, according to Lodging Econometrics.

ACEC Members Converge on Capitol Hill
Senator Gary Peters (D-MI) (standing, center), a member of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, met with the ACEC/Michigan delegation this week during the ACEC Annual Convention and Legislative Summit. More than 400 ACEC members visited more than 300 Congressional offices during the Convention, advocating for more infrastructure funding, as well as for policies to address the shortage of engineering talent and initiatives to promote sustainable energy projects.
