ACEC Endorses Tax Extenders in Comments to Senate Taskforce

ACEC submitted comments this week to a taskforce of the Senate Finance Committee endorsing  multi-year extension of the Section 179D energy-efficient commercial buildings tax deduction and the Section 45 production tax credit for renewable resources.

These provisions were part of the legislative agenda advocated by ACEC members in their Capitol Hill visits during the 2019 Annual Convention last month.

The House Ways and Means Committee recently approved legislation to reinstate the expired tax extenders for 2018 through 2020 and extend provisions expiring later this year. Final action on the tax extenders is not expected until later in the year and could be combined with budget legislation.
