ACEC FAPA Committee Meets with USACE and Other Federal Agency Representatives

The Federal Agencies and Procurement Advocacy Committee (FAPA) met in Washington, D.C. last week with the Army Corps of Engineers as well as NAVFAC and US Air Force representatives for updates of ongoing construction priorities for the services, as well as to hear from the USACE about their new Public Private Partnership (P3) venture.

In addition, the committee met with the General Services Administration’s (GSA) Public Building Services as well as the Office of Real Property Utilization and Disposal to discuss building disposal, climate resilient infrastructure and the Design Excellence Program.

The committee also discussed the third installment of the Section 809 Report to update acquisition regulations and with the Small Business Committee’s Office of Size Standards.

The International Committee was also scheduled to meet but was forced to cancel due to a winter storm. For more information on the FAPA or International Committee contact Dan Hilton at dhilton@acec.org.
