ACEC-Rhode Island Hosts Diversity Networking Event

More than 160 people attended the inaugural ACEC-RI Diversity Networking Forum at the Rhode Island DOT in Providence on January 15.

Thirty Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE)/Women Business Enterprise (WBE)/Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) firms in Rhode Island were invited to exhibit and present the services that they provide. More than 30 ACEC-RI member firms attended the event, meeting with the exhibitors to discuss project and teaming opportunities.

Representatives from the Rhode Island Department of Administration, DOT, Commerce Corporation, Public Transit Authority Bridge and Turnpike Authority, and the Narragansett Bay Commission also participated in the event.

Increasing diversity and inclusion within the engineering industry is a pillar of the new ACEC Strategic Plan.
