ACEC’s Howard Set To Be 2019-2021 FIDIC President at Interational Engineering Conference, Mexico City, September 8-10

Former ACEC Chair Bill Howard of CDM Smith will take the gavel as the 2019-2021 FIDIC President at the upcoming 2019 FIDIC International Infrastructure Conference in Mexico City, September 8-10.

FIDIC is the international association for consulting engineers, representing national engineering associations in 104 countries. ACEC is the largest FIDIC member.

The annual conference will focus on how technology is revolutionizing the way companies and the industry operate.

“Change is all around us and new ideas, sometimes imported from other industry sectors, are making a big difference to how infrastructure companies operate,” said FIDIC President Alain Bentéjac. “The application of technology is helping to reduce operating costs, improve communication, increase productivity, broaden customer bases and facilitate more collaboration and outsourcing.”

ACEC President/CEO Linda Bauer Darr will moderate an expert panel on how new technology can limit the impact of corruption in international markets.
