ACEC Signs MOU with State Department’s Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations
ACEC President and CEO Linda Bauer Darr and Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) Director Tad Davis signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the two organizations this week.
The partnering agreement, the first between the two groups, will foster increased collaboration between the private sector A/E community and the agency charged with designing and building U.S. embassies abroad.
“ACEC has always believed that successful project delivery is best achieved when government agencies hire the most experienced and qualified design teams,” said Bauer Darr. “We hope this MOU will strengthen our relationship, foster communication, and close interaction, with the goal of delivering successful projects on behalf of the taxpayer.”
OBO Director Addison D. “Tad” Davis IV added, “This partnership will enhance the relationship between OBO and the industries that support our mission, specifically being able to partner with ACEC in the improvement of our mutual work in the engineering fields. We have always placed high value in the engineers and engineering services that support OBO, and this MOU will solidify the good communication and collaborative dialogue already underway.”
