ACEC Supports Tax Extenders

In a statement submitted to the House Ways and Means Committee, ACEC called for the multi-year extension of the Section 179D energy-efficient commercial buildings tax deduction and the production tax credit for certain renewable resources such as biomass and geothermal.

ACEC supports multi-year extension of these tax provisions so that businesses can rely on them and plan effectively.  The Council and coalition allies have asked Congress on several occasions to include these measures in the next legislative vehicle, but it is unclear when Congress will take action.
