Bringing Industry and Academia Closer Together with ACEC Oregon

On Thursday, ACEC Oregon participated in a panel discussion entitled “Designing the Future: How Academia and Industry Can Prepare Students for the Engineering Industry.” The panel sought to identify common, overlapping interests between industry and academia, identify trends that will eventually impact the engineering industry, determine methods for preparing students for the current and future industry needs, and foster greater collaboration between academia and the engineering industry.
