Call For Candidates for ACEC National Office

ACEC is soliciting applications for Executive Committee officers with terms commencing in June 2023 at the Annual Convention.  The Nominating Committee will be interviewing for the Chair-elect and three Vice Chair positions.  Any ACEC member interested in applying should submit the following:

• An application form
• A statement of interest and qualifications
• A letter of support from your firm
• A high-resolution headshot for media purposes
• A one-paragraph biography for media purposes

All materials must be submitted directly to Charlie Gozdziewski (cc’d to Charles Kim and Cindy Spinks) through the appropriate MO Executive Director by Friday, May 6, 2022.

To be eligible for Chair-elect, a candidate must be a member or Fellow of the Council and have served as the President of a Member Organization, a member of the ACEC Executive Committee, or as an ACEC National Director.  To be eligible for Vice Chair, a member shall have been an officer or Director of a Member Organization, or a National Director, or a member of an ACEC National Committee or Coalition.  ACEC desires to be as inclusive as possible in seeking candidates for these key leadership positions.  By doing so, we will build a more diverse representation on our Executive Committee that better reflects the depth and breadth of the profession and the A/E/C industry.

The Bylaws prohibit more than one officer from the same state on the Executive Committee, with the exception that the Chair-elect may come from any MO regardless of whether an individual from the same MO is already serving on the Executive Committee.  The Nominating Committee shall not nominate two or more candidates from the same MO in the same year.  This year, California, Hawai’i, Minnesota, and New York are not eligible to nominate Vice Chair candidates but may propose a Chair-elect candidate.
