Coalition Urges Congress to Include Long-Term Transportation Funding in COVID-19 Bill

The Transportation Construction Coalition, a stakeholder group including ACEC and more than 40 engineering, construction, materials and equipment supply associations, and labor unions, sent a letter to congressional leaders advocating for the inclusion of long-term surface transportation funding as part of the COVID-19 response effort. 

Infrastructure investment would create and sustain new construction and related industry jobs and tax revenue as part of a short-term recovery, and the resulting improvements would enhance long-term economic productivity by providing access to jobs, services, materials, and markets.
