Four Great Reasons to Attend the ACEC Annual Convention

Four Great Reasons to Attend the ACEC Annual Convention

Dear Colleagues:

In four short weeks, our Annual Convention will be upon us.  It will be my first as your new President and CEO, so I am really looking forward to it and to being with you and all our great colleagues.  Given that we are actively engaged in strategic planning this year, ACEC Chairman Manish Kothari and I are eager to share ideas, discover opportunities, and plan for the future of our industry with all of you.

We have been hearing from our members that business continues to be strong.  Good times are precisely the best times to meet with peers face-to-face, consider what challenges your firm will encounter in the future, and go home with a plan to make the most out of this up-cycle.

So here is my “top 4” list of good reasons to come to Washington, D.C. May 5-8th for the ACEC Annual Convention and Legislative Summit:

Build Business – Peer networking at this meeting can pay off for years to come.

Stay on Top of Trends and Emerging Markets – Robust forums for dialogue with industry colleagues on emerging opportunities, ways to grow your firm and your leadership, and on the future of engineering.

Advocate for Our Issues – The Annual Convention features a robust coordinated lobbying effort on the Hill.  We need you to be a voice in this effort as a “citizen lobbyist”.  This is a positive action that you can take for your firm and our industry.

Celebrate Success – This year we have a record 196 Engineering Excellence Awards project submittals reflecting a strong market for engineering.  Who will win the Grand Conceptor?  You?

I hope to see you there and look forward to hearing about how we can help you deliver on your hopes and expectations for your firm!

Best,

Linda
