Seven Top Engineering Students to Receive ACEC Scholarships

The ACEC Research Institute has awarded 2021 ACEC Scholarships to seven engineering students. The winning students were selected by the ACEC College of Fellows Scholarship Committee.

Alexander Dukart, who is working toward a master’s degree in architectural engineering with a lighting/electrical emphasis at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, was awarded the $10,000 ACEC Scholar of the Year.

Timothy Kohany was awarded the $5,000 Life/Health Trust (LHT) Scholarship. He is working on a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering at Manhattan College.

Jillian Brislin, who is studying for a master’s degree in civil engineering with a concentration in structural engineering from Northeastern University, received the $5,000 a/e Pronet Scholarship.

Daniel Mueller, who received the $5,000 Professional Liability Agents Network (PLAN) Scholarship, is working toward a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from The Ohio State University.

Connor Kagamida received the $3,000 College of Fellows Scholarship. He is working on his master’s degree in civil engineering at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

Regan Kelly received the $2,500 Small Firms Coalition Scholarship and is studying for a master’s degree in civil engineering with a concentration in structures at Northeastern University.

Katelyn Gendron, who received the $5,000 Small Firm Coalition Scholarship, is working on a bachelor’s/master’s degree in civil engineering from Northeastern University.

David Scot Carpenter was awarded the $3,000 College of Fellows Scholarship. He is working on a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at Auburn University.

Celeste Carmignani, who received the $2,500 CASE Scholarship, is working on a bachelor’s degree in structural engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.

All of the scholarship winners will be honored at the annual Awards Luncheon at the ACEC Fall Conference in Marco Island, October 27-30.
