USGBC Releases LEED v4.1 for Cities, Communities and Residential Homes

The new LEED v4.1 certification is available for homes, cities, and communities. The certification places an emphasis on performance monitoring, social equity, fully integrated designs, and human health factors.

LEED v4.1 also combines aspects from LEED for Low-rise homes, LEED for Midrise Homes, LEED for Core and Shell, and LEED for New Construction into three rating systems: LEED v4.1 Residential: New Single-family homes; LEED v4.1 Residential: New Multifamily homes; and LEED v4.1 New Multifamily homes core and shell.

The new rating system is intended to make implementing LEED easier for projects.
