ACEC of Maine 2019 Fall Forum and Engineering Excellence Awards: Moving Maine Forward - Building Resilience for a Strong Tomorrow

Thursday, October 24, 2019
DiMillo’s on the Water, 25 Long Wharf, Portland

5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
President’s Reception & ACEC/PAC Event

Our guest speaker will be Lisa Dickson, Associate Principal and Director of Resilience for the Americas for Arup. Lisa has 25 years’ experience working at the intersect of the built and natural environments. She started her career as a transportation planner at MaineDOT before becoming interested in the carbon markets and, more recently, in alternative financing and investment options related to resilience.  Her training as a paleontologist, with a focus on mass extinctions, has given her a unique perspective on the characteristics of resilient systems.
