President’s Reception & ACEC/PAC Event

ACEC of Maine President Carolyn Bird invites you to a Reception to kick off the ACEC of Maine Fall Forum. Our guest speaker will be Lisa Dickson, Associate Principal and Director of Resilience for the Americas for Arup. Lisa has 25 years’ experience working at the intersect of the built and natural environments. She started her career as a transportation planner at MaineDOT before becoming interested in the carbon markets and, more recently, in alternative financing and investment options related to resilience.  Her training as a paleontologist, with a focus on mass extinctions, has given her a unique perspective on the characteristics of resilient systems.

Again this year, the President's Reception will also double as a fundraiser for the ACEC/PAC*. Please join us for a relaxing opportunity to connect with your ACEC peers.

* A minimum donation of $25 to the ACEC/PAC is required. The ACEC/PAC plays an essential role in promoting member interests on critical issues facing engineering companies at the National level.  It is funded solely by member contributions, and its strength comes from you and your commitment to the engineering industry.  All donations go directly to the ACEC/PAC and must be made by cash or personal check.  The ACEC/PAC cannot accept company checks.
