DEP-ACEC Round Table Discussion

The Maine DEP and ACEC of Maine seek to enhance the professional relationship between the Maine DEP and the private consultants in support of the common goal to provide quality, responsive and cost effective environmental solutions through effective communication and cooperative working relationships.

The goal of this Roundtable is to maintain an open forum to share professional and technical information and to present and consider concerns of either party for further actions

Tentative Agenda

9:30 – 10:00: Registration and Mingling

10:00: Welcome – Bill Longfellow, Maine DEP, and Theresa Patten, ACEC

10:00 – 10:10: Opening remarks

10:10 – 11:00 DEP Bureau Mini-presentations (5 – 15 minutes each)
          • Air   • Water   • Land   • Remediation and Waste Management

Content to include: new rules, contemplated rules, areas of concern, most troublesome areas, updates, what is coming down the pipeline from EPA, staff changes, up and coming issues.

11:00 – 11:50: Panel Type Q&A – This is the audience’s opportunity to ask questions, explain situations, give feedback on what works, what doesn’t, pain points, how system could be improved, etc.

11:50 12:00: Wrap up and Conclusion. We want to know if you thought it was valuable and do you want to do it again
