ACEC New York PDH Webinar: BIM the Building Code: Automating the Building Code into Your Model

September 17, 2015

BIM allows architects to use the software tool in a new way that they may have never considered. Participants will learn to describe the benefits of a using a BIM work flow to automate building code requirements in a commercial building, list strategies that can be incorporated into a BIM project to lesson human error in calculating the building code, view examples of building code compliance being automated in a BIM project, and outline the next steps towards integration of the building code into a BIM project. This presentation is not designed as a how-to, but rather is designed to open minds to the possibilities offered by implementation of BIM.
