Alan has served ACEC as a Director of Communications since 2003. His service has included helping revitalize Council magazine, Engineering Inc. into a national and international award winner. He also has been important in growing the Engineering Execllence Awards into the world’s greatest celebration of engineering excellence. Other achievements include generating national media coverage for ACEC political and industry positions regarding national policy. He has extensive backround as a newspaper reporter, editor and award-winning columnist, along with extensive experience in corporate communications. He is a native of Cleveland, Ohio and a graduate of The Ohio State University.
