The standard form of Owner/Design-Builder Agreement used when the project’s scope is sufficiently defined at the time the contract is signed to enter into a binding agreement on price, where the basis of compensation is a lump sum, unit prices, or a combination thereof. EJCDC D-520 addresses all elements typically seen in construction contracts, including identifying the parties, the design professional(s), contract price, contract times, basic payment terms, the design-builder’s representations, enumeration of the contract documents, and signatures of the parties.
