Award Overview

The ACEC Young Professional of the Year Award honors emerging leaders in the engineering profession who have made meaningful contributions to their firms, clients, and communities. The award recognizes excellence, leadership, and service that elevate the profession and deliver tangible benefits to society.

The program is administered by the ACEC College of Fellows.

All submissions for this award to be sent to your respective Member Organization. The deadline to submit for the National Award competition is Friday, May 15, 2026.

 

Eligibility & Nomination Process

Nominees should be young professionals who demonstrate strong technical ability, leadership potential, and a clear record of impact in their firm, community, or the broader engineering profession.

  • All nominations must be submitted through an ACEC Member Organization (MO).

  • Each MO may submit up to two (2) nominees to the national competition.

  • Nominees must be 35 years old or younger as of December 31, 2026.

Nominations are submitted as a three-part packet, with each part linked separately below. All requirements and detailed instructions for completing each section can be found in the Nomination Packet & Guidelines.

Key Deadline

All MO nominations must be received by ACEC no later than 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Friday, May 15, 2026.
