The engineering market remains surprisingly steady. Company backlogs are largely intact. Key market sectors have neutral or better outlooks. The Fed is indicating that the market is on comfortable footing and does not warrant further intervention at this time.
However, stock markets continue to experience intermittent volatility. The trade war between the U.S. and China persists with negative impacts on global markets. And we are, of course, very long in this economic cycle.
