ACEC Nominates National Officers for 2022-2024

ACEC has nominated Jay Wolverton, Executive Vice President and Chief Growth Officer of CHA Consulting in Atlanta, GA, to be the next Chair-elect of the Board of Directors.

In addition, four ACEC members have been nominated to serve as 2022-2024 Vice Chairs: Tom Cascino, Vice President of AECOM in Latham, NY; Ralph Guida, IV, President of Guida Surveying in Irvine, CA; Dan Larson, CEO of American Engineering Testing in St. Paul, MN; and Janice Marsters, Senior Principal of Haley & Aldrich in Honolulu, HI.

Jay Wolverton (Chair-elect)

At CHA, Wolverton provides strategic oversight and direction with a focus on the significant growth anticipated for the company. He communicates the corporate viewpoint to key clients, as well as other external constituencies, and conveys mission, culture, and vision to staff while serving as a mentor for principals and officers of the firm. Prior to joining CHA, Wolverton was the founder and CEO of Wolverton & Associates, which was acquired by CHA in June 2019.

Thomas Cascino (Vice Chair)

Cascino leads AECOM’s upstate New York transportation business practice, covering all transportation design and construction management services. He was Chair of ACEC NY in 2019-2020, and also served on the ACEC NY Board of Directors and Executive Committee. A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, he has been with AECOM for more than 21 years.

Ralph Guida, IV (Vice Chair)

Founder of Guida Surveying, Inc. Guida has long supported the engineering industry. He has been an active ACEC member for more than 17 years, and has served as State Chapter President, M.O. President, Chair of the Coalition of Professional Surveyors (COPS), ACEC/PAC Committee member for California, and the M.O. National Director. He was recently elected to the ACEC College of Fellows.

Dan Larson (Vice Chair)

As CEO of American Engineering Testing, Inc (AET), Larson leads the 100% employee-owned, multi-disciplined engineering firm serving clients nationwide and around the world from 18 offices in the Midwest and West. He is Past-President, National Director, and ACEC/PAC Champion of ACEC Minnesota. He is a member of ACEC’s Risk Management Committee, and AET is a founding member of ACEC’s Geoprofessional Coalition. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota and will soon graduate from ACEC’s Senior Executive Institute, Class 25.

Janice Marsters (Vice Chair)

Marsters manages Haley & Aldrich’s Hawai‘i/Pacific operations. She is an ACEC Fellow and has been active in ACEC’s Risk Management Committee for many years, including three years as Chair. She has served as a Board Member, President, and twice as National Director for ACEC Hawai‘i, and spearheaded the M.O.’s legislative activities for more than 20 years. She has supported ACEC/PAC for several years as a member of the Millennium or Chairman’s Club. She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Civil Engineering and a Ph.D. in Geology and Geophysics.
