ACEC President/CEO Linda Bauer Darr Releases Statement on Infrastructure

Linda Bauer Darr, the President and CEO of the American Council of Engineering Companies released the following statement after yesterday’s meeting between Democratic congressional leaders and President Trump on infrastructure:

“The case for infrastructure investment has been made. Now we need the will to act. The political playbook has changed; Americans are willing to pay for desperately needed infrastructure investment.

“We can’t accept failure or delay due to partisan squabbling – this is too important to the nation’s future. Today’s meeting was a step backwards, but the fight isn’t over. We encourage the House and Senate to forge ahead on reauthorization. We urge the president to lead with a plan and a way to pay for improving our physical and social infrastructure.”
