ACEC Research Institute Encourages Member Participation in Design-Build Study

The ACEC Research Institute has launched a landmark study of the challenges posed by Design-Build (DB) project delivery and calls on member firm leaders to share their thoughts and experiences.

The engineering industry faces numerous pressures in DB projects, including risk management, insurance practices, claims, disputes, litigation, and team satisfaction. The study will examine these challenges and their impact on efficient project delivery, as well as identify best practices and the effectiveness of new delivery methods.

ACEC Research Institute Chair John Carrato sent an email to the lead executive of all member firms last week encouraging participation in the study and providing a link to the Design-Build Firm Questionnaire. He recommended sharing the survey link with the firm’s Design-Build or Alternative Project Delivery Leader, as well as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO).
