ACEC Urges Congressional Action on USMCA
As a member of a coalition of more than 600 business groups, ACEC is calling on Congress to finally take up the US-Mexico-Canada (USMCA) trade agreement.
In a letter sent to all members of Congress, the coalition stated “…by creating a level playing field for trade in North America, USMCA will help U.S. companies and the workers they employ compete in our top two export markets. The case for the agreement’s approval is strong. We urge Congress to approve USMCA as soon as possible.”
Millions of jobs are dependent on free trade, including many in the A/E community which competes for projects around the world.
ACEC participated in the coalition’s recent two-day fly-in, meeting with hundreds of elected officials to convey the importance of this critical trade measure.
