In a strategic move to better align with the core disciplines of its membership, ACEC’s Coalition of American Mechanical and Electrical Engineers (CAMEE) has rebranded to the MEP Coalition—the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Coalition.
“The term MEP more precisely captures the full scope of our membership and the ACEC member firms we support,” said Michelle Kroeger, ACEC’s director of coalitions. “By adopting this name, we align ourselves with industry-standard terminology, making it clearer who we are and what we stand for.”
ACEC remains committed to the core mission of the coalition’s members and partners: to advocate for and support professionals in the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering fields, and which also includes associated disciplines such as Fire Protection, Refrigeration, Lighting Design, Technology, Security and Commissioning.
Elevate ACEC Member Firms’ Identity
The rebrand strengthens the coalition’s identity, enhances visibility, and improves communication within ACEC and throughout the industry. Cross-disciplinary collaboration is increasingly vital in the built environment. By explicitly acknowledging all three key disciplines in the MEP acronym, the coalition fosters a more inclusive and cohesive professional community for ACEC member firms.
Continued Member Advantages
MEP Coalition members will continue to receive robust support and opportunities, including:
- A powerful network of industry professionals
- Access to exclusive professional development and leadership programs
- Advocacy on critical issues impacting the MEP engineering community
- Timely insights, resources, and best practices
This rebrand is a significant step in aligning the coalition with its core disciplines, ensuring that the identity and mission of the MEP Coalition are clear and impactful.
