A Time of Transitions: Project Managers to Firm Leaders
Thursday, October 22, 1:30–3:00 PM (Eastern)

The Great Recession of 2008 lasted more than four years for the construction industry and led to significant changes for engineering firms. Many merged or ceased operations. Leaders were often unable to effectively make the transition to leaner times. The Pandemic of 2020 is another turning point and as of yet, we cannot see how it ends and where it will lead. Workloads are declining and managing existing work is challenging. Reliance on remote work and virtual systems has mushroomed.

Leadership can be challenging in the best of circumstances–the pandemic makes it even more difficult to transition project managers to firm leaders. In this session, Howard Birnberg of the Association for Project Management will share critical ideas and concepts to help you in this effort, including:

  • How to protect PM development from the current problems confronting your engineering firms
