Pew Report Highlights 13 Innovative Flood Mitigation Solutions

A new report by the Pew Charitable Trusts highlights some of the nation’s most effective flood mitigation programs.

Based on primary research by Dewberry, the report provides case studies of 13 communities that have implemented effective and innovative ways to reduce flooding.

The report looks at three methods for mitigating flooding: Using existing funds; creating new revenue sources; and establishing smarter regulations.

Highlighted programs are in Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Minnesota, North Carolina, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.
