Mr. Davit currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer for the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority. In this role, Mr. Davit directs the operational activities of GOAA, establishing and implementing an appropriate system of operational and administrative controls, policies, and procedures to accomplish GOAA’s strategic and tactical objectives and key initiatives. He is responsible for actively leading and supporting all areas of GOAA Operations (at both MCO & ORL), Capital Programs, Multi-Modal Planning, and Facilities. Additionally, he represents GOAA externally, maintaining strong working relationships with key community leaders as well as federal, state and local officials.

Prior to his current role Mr. Davit was the Vice President of Attraction Development with Universal Creative where he led the Orlando Portfolio for Universal Creative’s delivery of attractions for the Universal Orlando Resort where he delivered Island of Adventure’s VelociCoaster, named the Theme Park Insider’s Best New Attraction and #1 Coaster. During his tenure, he partnered in the conceptual design of 5 new Orlando attractions scheduled for delivery in the next 3-5 years and was Universal Creative’s development lead for Universal Parks and Resorts Global New Venture’s concepts

Mr. Davit also held the position of Director, Corporate Real Estate Planning and Development at United Airlines where he oversaw development for United’s hubs at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and Denver International Airport (DEN) as well as line stations in the South-Central United States,
Mexico, and Central America with a portfolio of over 125 projects valued at nearly $1B

Prior to these civilian roles, Colonel Davit served 26 years in the US Air Force where he served as Commander of a 900-person USAF Group, providing leadership for a 1,900-person Joint Base staff which supported 48,000 service members, 56,000 military dependents and an overall supported population of 300,000 at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. He was career Civil Engineer specializing in, civil works construction and consulting progressing in scope from a Staff Engineer to Project Manager to the Executive level.

He has a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Purdue University, a master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois, and a master’s degree in Strategic Studies from the United States Air Force Air University.

Mr. Davit is a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas and Indiana and holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. He serves on the Town Council in the Town of Windermere Florida and is the President of the RED HORSE and Prime BEEF Association, a 501(c)(19) Veterans’ Organization

Mr. Davit is married to his wife of 32 years, Maryann. They have two daughters, Capt. Kathryn Love and Miss Emily Davit
