Lori Lange is TDOT’s Assistant Chief Engineer of Engineering. Lori has spent 28 years working in the field of transportation completing her Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University in 1996. She commenced her career as a consultant, working in that role for 17 years. Lori then joined the Department as the Director of Project Development, and four years later served as the Director of Construction. Lori then became the Engineering Director for the City of Brentwood and now serves as the Assistant Chief Engineer of Engineering for TDOT. Lori is responsible for overseeing professional services, environmental, utilities, traffic design, materials and tests, construction, right-of-way, and engineering including structures and design divisions. In 2018, Lori was named the TSPE Government Engineer of the year. Lori and her husband Jeremy, have a son in college, and a daughter in high school. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family.
